Despite being surrounded
by harmful microorganisms, toxins, and the threat of our own cells turning into
tumour cells, humans manage to survive; largely thanks to our immune system. So
now one question is arrived in the mind that What is Immune System? So, the Immune
System is a defence mechanism which is made up of different biological
structure and processes to fight against pathogens and keep away from disease.
The immune keeps record of every germ which come in contact so that if they
come again, immune system recognises that germ and destroy before it can harm
us.
OR
The Immune System is made
up of organs, tissues, cells, and molecules that all work together to generate
an immune response that protects us from microorganisms, removes toxins, and
destroys tumour cells - hopefully not all at once! The immune response can
identify a threat, mount an attack, eliminate a pathogen, and develop
mechanisms to remember the offender in case you encounter it again - all within
10 days.
so, now we will discuss
on all the following topics given below
1. Types
of Immune System
2. Antigens and Antibodies

Types of Immune
System
Your system is just like
the military – with two main branches, the innate immune reaction and
therefore the adaptive immune reaction. The innate immune system or innate
immune response is having cells which are non-specific, mean that although they
differentiate an invader from an individual's cell, they don’t distinguish one
invader from another invader. The innate response is additionally feverishly
fast- working within minutes to hours. The trade-off for that speed is that
there’s no memory associated with innate responses. In other words, the innate
response will respond to the same pathogen in the exact same way no matter how
many times it sees the pathogen. The innate immune response includes things
that you may not even think of as being part of the immune system. Things like
chemical barriers, like lysozymesin the tears and a low pH in the stomach, as well
as physical barriers like the epitheliumin the skin and gut, and the cilia that
line the airways to keep invaders out.
In contrast, the adaptive immune reaction is
very specific for every invader. The cells of the adaptive immune reaction have
receptors that differentiate one pathogen from another by their unique parts –
called antigens. These receptors can differentiate between friendly bacteria
and potentially deadly ones. The trade-off is that the adaptive response relies
on cells being primed or activated, in order that they can fully differentiate
into the proper quite fighter to kill that pathogen, and that can take a few
weeks. But the great advantage of the adaptive immune response is immunologic
memory. The cells that are activated within the adaptive immune reaction
undergo clonal expansion which suggests that they massively proliferate. And
each time the adaptive cells see that very same pathogen, they massively proliferate
again, leading to a stronger and faster response whenever that pathogen comes
around. Once the pathogen is destroyed, most of the colonially expanded cells die
off, that’s called clonal deletion. But a number of the colonially expanded cells
survive as memory cells and they’re able to expa nd another time if that
pathogen ever resurfaces.
Antigens and
Antibodies
To understand immune
system in more depth you must understand what are Antigens and Antibody. We will
just discuss that what is Antigens and Antibodies in short, in detail we will create
a new separate article.
Antigens:
- The Antigens are the harmful substance that cause your immune system or
immune response to produce Antibodies against it.
Bacteria, virus,
chemicals are some examples of Antigens.
Antibodies:
- Antibodies is a protective protein which is produced by the immune system in
response to the harmful substance or a foreign substance called an Antigen. Antibody
recognize Antigens and remove them from our body.
Immunity boosters
As we come to know that
immune System place an important role to fight against the any Disease. So, know
we must know about what is immunity? So, it is an ability of multicellular organism
to defend against the harmful microorganisms from entering into the cell. So,
to increase the power of your immunity, immunity boosters are used. There are
many types of immunity boosters by which we can improve or increase our
immunity power, we will discuss some of the important one.

Sign of Weak Immune System
Recurrent
infection or allergies
If
you feel that you are sick more often than others, complain of a cold, cough,
sore throat or skin rashes, then it is very possible that it is due to your
immune system. Candid test positive, diarrhea, gingivitis, mouth sores, etc.
are also symptoms of poor immunity.
Some
people get sick just as the weather changes. This may be due to lower body
temperature. The normal oral blood heat is 36.3 degrees for a robust system. It
Should not be below 33 degrees Because cold viruses survive on that degree. Exercising
daily can increase your blood heat and immunity. Also, hot spices like garlic,
ginger, cinnamon cloves, etc. are also very useful.
If
you have no fever
When
the body should come with fever, it does not come, it means that your immunity
is weak. With fever, the body fights against diseases and most of us eat fever
medicine so that the fever does not work in a positive way for us. If you have
not had fever for many years after infection, then it is also a symptom of weak
immunity.
Vitamin
D deficiency
Vitamin
D enhances immunity and is lacking in most people. If there is a lack of
vitamin D in your blood report, then you should make every effort to correct
its level. Apart from this, persistent fatigue, sluggishness or wounds that do
not heal for a long time, sleeplessness, depression and dark circles are also a
sign of weak immunity.
